PET LIMOUSINE

    You’re on-the-go a lot and you have appointments to keep--and so does your pet.  Trips to the vet or pet groomer (or even to a friend or relative’s house) are periodic, and sometimes you need a driver with a comfortably-sized vehicle to deliver your pet(s), (and you) to a destination.

    Roger Rover utilizes a Honda Element, which has been officially branded by the media as a “dog friendly” vehicle, and chauffeuring your pet wherever it needs to go is within the scope of the Roger Rover Pet Care service.

    The rate for the Pet Limousine service is $30.00 per hour, with pro-rating in 20-minute intervals for time that extends beyond the hour.  For example, a trip to the vet lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes, in which Roger Rover waits there to bring your pet home, would be rounded up to 1 hour and 20 minutes, making the cost $40.00 (1 hour at $30.00 + 20 minutes at $10.00).  Minimum charge for Pet Limo service is $30.00.

Q:  What are the benefits of the Pet Limousine service?

A:  The Pet Limousine, sometimes referred to as a ‘Pet Taxi’, has several benefits to you and your dog:

• Your pet will make it to scheduled appointments at the veterinarian, dog groomer, day care, etc.
• Having use of a vehicle that is ‘dog friendly’
• It’s a service that is dedicated to delivery and pickup of pets, as opposed to depending on family members or friends to transport your pet to its destination
• You won’t feel that you’re imposing on family or friends for a ‘pet journey’
• You’re free to attend your normal workday while letting someone else handle the errand of transporting your pet to its appointment

Q: How is my pet secured in the vehicle?

A: Your pet will travel in a roomy cage.  This is necessary to keep your pet safe as it prevents distracting your pet’s ‘chauffeur’.

Q: Can I ride along with my pet?

A: Absolutely.  Actually, it’s preferred, although not mandatory, that you ride along to prevent your pet from associating Roger Rover with a trip that removes your pet from its natural surroundings.

Q: Will you stay with my pet until its appointment is complete?

A: It depends.  If your pet has an appointment with a dog groomer in which there might be a 2 to 3 hour wait before your pet’s procedure is completed, then a separate pickup will need to be scheduled.  Unfortunately, because of the potential interruption of Roger Rover’s client schedule, this pickup will incur the normal transport fee.  The fee, however, will be pro-rated from the normal $30.00 per hour charge.

Q: Can the Pet Limousine service be used to transport my pet to a remote location, for example, 50 miles away?

A: Yes, the fee for this service is the same as described in the introduction paragraph above.
