OVERNIGHT PET SITTING

    Your situation sometimes requires you to be away from home for a night, or several nights.  But you don’t want to leave your pet alone at home.  Ideally, a friendly human substitute for you to provide companionship for your pet would be the next best thing to you being there. Roger Rover can help.

    Roger Rover will come to your house for an overnight stay for one night, or multiple nights.  Roger can arrange to arrive at your house by 9:00 pm and stay until 7:00 am the next morning.  Your pet will be fed at your prescribed time(s), and will be walked during the morning hours, if you desire.  If you’re expected to be gone for more than one night, Roger Rover will check up on your pet once during the afternoon hours between overnight stays.

    The cost for Overnight Pet Sitting is $65.00 per night.

Q:  What are some of the benefits of Overnight Pet Sitting?

A:  Some of the benefits include:

• Your pet remains in the environment in which s/he is accustomed
• Diet and exercise routines are uninterrupted
• Someone is available in the case of an unexpected mishap at home.  For example, if a fire were to occur in your apartment building, or if an intruder were to attempt a break-in, or if there’s a gas or water leak, your overnight sitter will be on-hand to call the appropriate emergency number, and usher your pet away from the accident
• Your pet isn’t exposed to environments or animals that might carry diseases
• You don’t have to worry about imposing on friends or neighbors who might forget to check up on your pet
• Your pet won’t be lonely, and receives attention, personal care, and play time while you’re away from home
• Your home is occupied as a deterrent against burglaries
• If the service extends for several consecutive days, your mail can be brought in, and your plants watered
• You can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that your pet is with someone who will keep them company and out of trouble

Q:  What is your policy about administering medications to my pet?

A:  Roger will see that your pet takes his/her pill allotment, but doesn’t administer injections.

Q: Do I contact you when I’ve returned home?

A: Yes. Please call Roger when you have returned. It is standard policy to continue overnight visits until being contacted by you. This ensures the health and safety of your pet in case you have been unexpectedly delayed.

Q: What if my pet becomes ill?

A: If your pet becomes ill, Roger will make every effort to get your pet to your veterinarian. However, for the health and safety of your pet, Roger asks for your consent to contact and transport your pet to his veterinarian or any licensed veterinarian in the event of an emergency.


Q: Do you charge an additional holiday fee?

A: No, not at this time.  Roger Rover realizes that people take vacations around the holidays and this is just one reason that people need pet sitters.
